About Al Lockrem Construction
Al Lockrem Construction Company provides in-house drafting
and blueprinting for more than 95% of our construction.
Our Class B Construction License includes residential and
commercial construction up to three stories.
Formed in 1981, we have built three commercial buildings,
numerous commercial additions/alterations, custom homes,
residential additions, and numerous hurricane repairs.
We have also worked on historical buildings in the Deland area.
Al Lockrem finished a four-year Carpenter Apprenticeship
training in Detroit and earned his Journeyman Certificate
August, 1973. Prior to Al Lockrem Construction Company,
Al was a Field Superintendent for Greg Construction working
throughout the United States fixturing new K Mart stores and
altering the interiors of existing K Mart stores. Prior to
the traveling, Al was a Building Trades teacher at Lincoln
High School in Warren, Michigan, where the class built it’s
free-standing building on the school property, which later
became the classroom, and did repairs for the elderly in the area.
